Weedy Sea Dragon | Western Port Bay Guesthouse

A site-specific wallpaper mural inspired by the Weedy Sea Dragon, native to Western Port Bay. Composed from locally photographed imagery, the design drifts between realism and abstraction — bringing the calm, fluid rhythm of the bay’s underwater world into the guesthouse interior.

When we began designing this custom wallpaper mural, we wanted to capture that same quiet magic that drifts beneath the surface here. Every image you see was photographed in the bay itself — layered, softened, and reimagined to bring that underwater calm into the room.

Now, when you wake up in this space, it feels like the sea dragons are gliding just beyond the glass — a gentle reminder of where you are, and what lives just below.
